Sang Penari (2011) Review
World Movie Share - A love story that happened in a poor village of Indonesia in the mid-1960s. Rasus (Nyoman Oka Antara), a young soldier walked home, looking for her lost love, Srintil (Prisia Nasution).
The story begins when both are still very young and in love with each other in their small villages and poor, Hamlet Paruk. But the magical dancing ability Srintil hinder their love, because it makes hamlet elders believe that is the incarnation ronggeng Srintil. And when Srintil preparing for his job, he realized that being a ronggeng not only means an option dukuhnya on-stage dance performances. Srintil will belong to all citizens of Hamlet Paruk. This puts Rasus with a dilemma. He felt his love has been taken. In desperation, leaving Rasus dukuhnya to become members of the army.
Then the time of moving, where Rasus should choose: loyalty to the state, or his love for Srintil. And when Rasus are in a dilemma, he had lost track of her lover. His quest is not easy, and new to fruition after 10 years later, fate brings Rasus with Srintil.
Inspired by the trilogy "Ronggeng Paruk Hamlet" by Ahmad Tohari, a beautiful love story and heart-rending is present from 10 November 2011
